About Me

I was born and raised in the East Midlands, then lived and worked in Manchester after graduating. In 2003 my work provided the opportunity for my wife and I to move to Ontario, Canada. Eleven years, three children and two cats later, we moved back to the East Midlands. It was a fantastic experience and we all gained so much from it, but it felt like the right time for a fresh challenge.



I always loved The Starfish Story (http://www.starrbrite.com/starfish.html) and I knew I wanted to do something that made a difference, and that I would feel proud to be investing time doing....I enjoy Maths and used it frequently and with confidence in my business experiences, but I have also worked with many talented, capable adults who have become paralysed with fear when any Maths became part of their job description.



One day my eight-year-old son came home from school, enthusiastically waving a 'Magical Maths' flyer...We happily signed him up for the club and I immediately fell in love with the concept, the content and the way that Maths was being delivered to children. I knew I had to do this!



It's a fantastic feeling to know you're helping children and providing something that replaces fear, uncertainty and frustration, with excitement, confidence and, above all, FUN!



I can't wait for our talented team to help more children to love their maths!
